Help me!!!!!!!!!!
I've been here for several days, but the more I look the more confused I get. Can someone give me a lecture?
For example, explain what an extension is?? It seems there isn't such a thing under Windows.
And what is the system boot loader?? Does that mean Windows can run under DOS??
.............
I'm dizzy, there are so many things I don't understand.

Take your time reading through this, and if there's anything you don't understand just ask.。。

Hehe, I'll send you a nice little thing, an extension-name explainer.
Also, Windows has extensions too. Open any folder, choose View - Folder Options - View, uncheck “Hide extensions for known file types”, then take another look.

Sorry, I can't upload it. If you want it, give me your email and I'll send it to you.

There are some posts with basic tutorials. Look around for them yourself.

I got it, but it won't work. I just reinstalled the system and didn't install vs, and it says cmdlg32.ocx is not registered or the file is missing.

I don't have vs installed on my machine either. Why didn't this problem happen to me?

Actually it's because my computer doesn't have the file cmdlg32.ocx.
It's the common dialog control. That program needs to use this control.

By the way, I already know what an extension is now. So it's just the file type in Windows.

To learn DOS you have to be patient, read bit by bit, understand bit by bit, and accumulate bit by bit. I haven't heard of any tutorial that can let someone learn DOS easily.

Learn how to use the search function in the forum!
You can search by author name, or by keywords in the subject...
For example, if you want to read articles posted by wengier, you can directly search all of her posts...
Then look through them for the ones that interest you...

For another example, today I saw a netizen ask about “logical lock”. Actually, if you use the search function and search with “logical lock” as the keyword, you can find 7 related posts. A logical lock is also called a hard disk lock, and if you use “hard disk lock” as the keyword instead, you can find even more related posts. If you really don't know what keyword to use, try to use simpler words or characters as much as possible. For example, for the problem above, using “lock” as the keyword will definitely find even more related posts...
