Are you using a dual-boot system?

Yes, as long as you boot with a 98 boot disk and enter DOS, that's fine. Very simple.

What partition is your Win2000 installed on? FAT32 or NTFS?
If it's FAT32, you can delete it directly under Win98 (or under DOS).
If it's NTFS, then after entering DOS you need to load NTFSDOS software with read/write support, and only then can you read, write, and delete the NTFS partition.

There's another way: use partition software that can recognize NTFS partitions, such as PQ8.0 (for DOS), diskgen2.0, and similar partition tools. Run them under DOS. They can recognize NTFS partitions, and can delete or format an individual partition.
