My original operating system is 98. Now I want to install WINDOWS NT, but during the installation process I get the following message:
the unpatitioned area is not acknowledged by the computer, what is the reason for this? Is there any other way to install WINDOWS NT? For example, how can I install WINDOWS NT under DOS? Asking all the experts here, can you tell me the specific steps? Thanks!

Your 98 is FAT32, it needs to be converted to FAT16 first. Also, if your hard disk is over 8G, during the NT installation process don't let it detect large-capacity storage devices.
