All my drive letters are messed up. The drive letters under XP and under DOS are different.

Can you describe the specific situation?

XP C D E F
DOS C E F D
What is stored on drive D under XP becomes drive E under DOS.

What did you use to partition the disk?

Is it a dual-hard-disk setup?

I used Diskgen to partition. When partitioning, I first made two primary partitions and installed 98 and XP on them respectively. After the systems were installed, I then partitioned the remaining space.
Under Windows I found that the CD-ROM drive letter was E:, so under Windows I reassigned the drive letters again.
Under DOS I found that when opening the partitions, it was different from under WinXP.

Then how can I keep the partitions in XP and DOS consistent?

Try the LETASSIG program.
