Just like Windows 98? If the computer has a problem and can't enter the Windows system, can it be booted with a boot disk? After booting, can we reinstall the system (or format the C drive)? Or is there any other method? Also, I don't quite understand the meaning of "no DOS under Windows 2000/XP", what does it mean? Does it mean that if there is no boot disk, Windows 2000/XP can't enter DOS? There is another question I've always wanted to ask. Does the meaning of a boot disk mean a small DOS operating system? Let the computer boot up through a floppy disk? Is this understanding correct? Thanks

The DOS on the boot disk is an independent system, and its booting has nothing to do with the system on the hard disk. But if the hard disk partition format does not support DOS reading and writing, there will be problems with the boot disk's operation on hard disk files... If there is no other DOS system, Windows 2000/XP cannot enter the real DOS, but they have a simulated DOS - like cmd mode.

What hard disk partition is appropriate that does not support DOS reading and writing??? Is it the NTFS partition format? Then if the computer has a problem and needs to be repaired or reinstalled under DOS, what should be done??? Isn't there no way???

It's not easy to generalize about DOS because multiple companies were developing it. Let me just talk about MS-DOS. For the current version of MS-DOS, it's not that we can say what it can't recognize, but rather what it can recognize. The only ones it can recognize are: FAT 12/16 FAT 32 (for WIN95 OS2 or later versions). It can't recognize any other formats.
