If he types VER under 98SE/98se DOS, it still shows win98 4.10 2222 a. Microsoft doesn't acknowledge DOS versions after 6.22.

Use STRINGS VER, or load HIRAM at startup, and it will show a big version number, for example “MS-DOS Version 7.10”.

The following is quoted from Master Rushi at 2003-5-27 10:14:43: Master, could you explain specifically how to load it? |

That's not the right file, is it? How did it turn into a music file? Look at this one instead:
C:\CONFIG.SYS |

To the poster in reply #3, is it that Win can't install a higher DOS version?

The following is quoted from Master Rushi at 2003-6-9 21:19:40: Master, I found CONFIG。SYS, but when I open it with WORDPAD it’s blank (is that normal?). Do I just need to create another text file called CONFIG。SYS, put “DEVICE=HIRAM” in it, and save it? |
