I just want to use one DOS boot floppy to solve this problem: connect to the network and be able to register and enter the Internet, then start the installation floppy to install my Linux operating system.
Could one of the elders tell me which DOS version I should use, and how to do it? By the way, since my experience is limited, I'm not very familiar with the DOS operating system, so I hope all you experts can help me out a lot! |

As for the DOS version, looking at it now, the best choices are MS-DOS 7.10 and ROM-DOS 7.10. Especially the former, its compatibility is the best.

This is something wengier didn't explain clearly.。。the dos71 boot disk is only the system core; to get online, you still need some other programs and drivers.

What programs and boot setup are needed? As long as it can get onto ftp, that's enough.

To get onto FTP, you need some networking software. The simplest way is just to add the network card's Packet driver and the Wattcp/FTP software in sequence.

Suppose I get onto ftp, and then I want to run an installation floppy. How can I make it, like when booting up, automatically complete all of its own tasks?
How do I upload all the files from this floppy? Then you can give me an idea. |

An archive is just a compressed file. Because when you open it, it contains multiple files, so it's called a package.
