Why are there two versions of PTS-DOS on the Internet? - China DOS Union Forum

From some materials, it can be known that the so-called PTS-DOS commonly mentioned is a DOS produced in Russia, and its company name is PhysTechSoft, Ltd., which can be abbreviated as PTS. The main DOS products are PTS-DOS 2000 and PTS-DOS 32 and PTS-DOS Pro, and basically they are DEMO versions on the Internet!

Now it is very convenient to download an installation package named PTS.DOS.2000.Professional on eMule. With it, you can make a DOS boot disk for PTSDOS 2000/PTSDOS FAT32 under XP. After booting from the boot disk, input install, and you can install DOS on the hard disk (of course, you need to partition and format first). Moreover, PTSDOS FAT32 can really be installed on a FAT32 partition, but the company name is Paragon Technology Systems (also abbreviated as PTS). Are these two companies the same? But after installation, there is no 60-second countdown like the usual installed PTS-DOS because of the DEMO version!

Is this a new DOS, or is it originally from the same company, or is it a "fake", really confused???

It seems that they actually have the same origin, but later went their separate ways. Just like the previous IBM OS/2 and MS OS/2.
