Question 1: Why do we need driver programs if we have BIOS?
Question 2: Are the driver programs under WinXP different from those under DOS?
Sorry, maybe the questions are a bit naive

BIOS cannot drive everything.
XP and DOS have different kernels, so the drivers are naturally different.

Yes: grub.exe
grub.exe --config-file="find --set-root /ntldr;chainloader /ntldr;"
