Your system is WIN98, right? Under DOS, enter in sequence
cd windows\command (press Enter)
edit c:\config.sys (press Enter)
In CONFIG.sys, add a line with the content:
device=c:\windows\himem.sys
How to save this???

Can the mouse be used in the MSDOS mode of Win98? Edit also has a menu.
