My hard drive was divided into 6 partitions, and the first two partitions each had an XP system installed. Once I wanted to adjust the size of the first two partitions, so I booted with the XP installation CD and then deleted partitions C and D, then created a C partition and a D partition. I found that there was still a lot of space left in between that couldn't be allocated into those two partitions, so I rebooted into DOS and wanted to use Disk Genius V2.0 Beta 0229 to repartition. As a result, I saw that the hard drive had only one large unformatted partition left. Then using the XP CD again, I could only see one unpartitioned space, so I could only reformat the entire hard drive! Pitifully, the 30GB of software I had stored on partition F was all finished! Of course this has already passed, but now I want to ask the experts: after deleting partition C, if I exit without rebuilding partition C, then are the remaining partitions beyond recovery? Was there any remedy at the time?
