My machine is new. I want to install a DOS system on my machine. That is, as soon as it boots up it goes straight into DOS.
Thanks, everyone.

If you install 98, there is no need to install DOS separately. 98 comes with DOS 7.10. To boot straight into DOS, you can use software like Super Rabbit to set it up. You can also achieve it by modifying the msdos.sys file.

If there is no DOS on the hard disk yet, you can first boot the system with an MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk, then run commands such as BOOTPART, SYS, or COPY to transfer the system files to the hard disk.

Maybe you misunderstood what I meant: what I mean is that I don't want to install the WINDOWS system first, but instead directly install a DOS system first.
How should I do that?

Take a DOS installation disk and just copy a few files, that's all.

First download the MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk made by Wengier, then use software like HD-Copy to extract the downloaded file onto a floppy disk, thereby making an MS-DOS 7.10 boot floppy. Boot the system with this disk, then type the command sys a: c: and press Enter. At this point, DOS's two core files will be moved to drive C. Then copy all the files from the floppy disk to drive C.
Now your task is completed.
