Will hardware driver issues make DOS games unable to run?
For example, sound card drivers? Or the graphics card? I know this question is very broad... hope an expert can give some pointers. |

As long as there are suitable drivers and a certain amount of know-how in using them (for example, solving problems like Runtime error 200), there is absolutely no problem running old DOS games on new computers. My computer is a 1400MHz machine, and after some configuration, all the games/programs I need can run on it (the system is MS-DOS 7.10).

6.22 probably won't do anymore.

The compatibility of MS-DOS 7.10 is naturally the best.

There are also some other issues such as speed; some old games become far too fast on new machines.
