Want to put the MS-DOS 7.10 bootable disk into a small CD for booting into the DOS environment, but when using UltraISO to convert the IMG to ISO, it shows that the format is not recognized, but it can be opened;
How should this be handled??

If you want to put the installation files in the full version ISO of DOS 7.10 together, which files need to be extracted and put in?

It's not about converting img to iso, but using img as the boot sector of iso.

What Michael said is correct. IMG is a boot file. The CD cannot see the content of the boot file, just like the WIN98 boot disk, which is just a boot function. There is a special option in NERO to load the boot file, and then burn it into a CD.

It's not using the img file as a boot file, but expanding the img file to the CD-ROM boot area, just like restoring the img file to a floppy disk with hd-copy.

It can be converted into an ISO file with UltraISO. You need to specify the "bootable file".
PS:
I originally wanted to attach an ISO file made only with the MSDOS710.IMG file. But it's too large, 1.09M.
(Note: It can't boot on VPC, but it can boot normally when tested on VMware)

Just select the menu "Bootable CD→Load Boot File" in UltraISO, then select the boot image you want to load in the pop-up dialog box. Then you can set the directory structure in the CD at will. By the way, the boot image file is under the A: drive.

That's right, it's this step. However, after this IMG file is loaded, this item is not in the contents of the CD-ROM because it has been expanded to the boot area. Moreover, if you want to boot from this CD-ROM and use the contents on the CD-ROM, then this boot image file (that is, your IMG file) also needs to have the driver for the CD-ROM drive.
