China DOS Union

I recently bought a second-hand Fujitsu FMV-645C7C/W. A 10-inch subnotebook. With touchscreen function.

Specs: C-450;128M;6G.

It came with a WIMME system, but after it crashed....555


I was getting ready to reinstall the system.

I took out the hard drive and used a notebook hard drive to IDE adapter, connected it to a desktop, used DM to partition it. Then used FORMAT C:/S or SYS C:

Made it DOS bootable. It worked fine on the desktop, but as soon as I connected it back to the notebook it just wouldn't boot.!!!! So I can't install the system.


I installed the system on the desktop. (cut the power when it got to reboot) Then moved it back to the notebook, still no good.
Installed XP, and on the notebook it says
NTLDR is missing.

After I made this file, it still says....

With the hard drive in the notebook, the BIOS can detect it, and the model is shown clearly. But it just can't be made bootable.


I don't have an external CD/floppy drive. It doesn't support USB boot. But I heard that only partitioning it after booting on the notebook itself will work...

FMV machines have very strange settings, you can boot through an external floppy drive, then reinstall from I386.

Japanese subnotebooks are all very troublesome. I'm dealing with a P200 Panasonic subnotebook right now.
I used a Toshiba "radish head" before, and you had to change something in CMOS before it would boot.

I have a way, no external CD or floppy drive, no USB devices, no need to remove the hard drive!
