The prompt message is specifically as follows:
MS-DOS7.10 Setup cannot locate the source files to copy from on the following path. Please enter a path where it locate. My hard disk partition layout is like this: First primary partition FAT32 installed with MS-DOS7.10 (note: the installation mentioned above is intended to install to a floppy disk) active partition Second primary partition NTFS installed with XP Third primary partition divided into 5 logical volumes among them, the 4th logical partition is FAT32, all the others are NTFS format. Under DOS, the drive letter of the first primary partition is C, and the drive letter of the 4th logical partition in the third primary partition is D. I put the installation files in the dossetup directory of the 4th logical partition in the third primary partition (this partition is FAT32), d:\dossetup didn't work; then I tried the dossetup directory of the first primary partition, C:\dossetup also didn't work; Whether I boot with the MS-DOS7.10 installed on the first primary partition or boot into DOS from the CD, it reports the same error. But in fact the files really are in the path I entered. Note: 1. When booting from the MS-DOS7.10 installed on the first primary partition, and when booting from DOS on the CD, the drive letter assignments under DOS are the same. That is, the first primary partition is always drive C, and the 4th logical partition of the third primary partition is drive D. The other drives cannot be recognized because they are NTFS. 2. After putting the installation files in the DOSSETUP directory on the first primary partition, when it asked me to enter the directory where the installation files are located, I entered c:\dossetup. After getting the above prompt, I tried D, E, and so on, but it still gave the same prompt saying it could not find the installation files. [ Last edited by yellowolf on 2005-11-27 at 11:16 ] |
