Use the Wattcp FTP command; it can be downloaded from the site's "Network Tools".

Thanks to the admin for the reply! Wattcp needs the network device's Packet driver to be loaded. How is that done? I used Microsoft Network Client 3.0 to drive the NIC under DOS, but I still can't use wattcp. I'd appreciate your advice!

First run the NIC's Packet driver, then run FTP, and that should do it.

There's a problem! ~ wattcp can download small files fine, and it's fast. But when downloading large files, it disconnects every time at around 100M. But downloading from the same place in a DOS window under Windows doesn't have this problem (so it probably isn't a network cable issue). No idea what's going on!!

How big a file are you downloading? Is it really over 100MB? I really haven't tried that.

No other parameters needed? What about specifying the IP address?

No need! As long as the network and config file are all set up properly, you can just run the FTP command and use it normally!

Do you need to use some command to load it? Is it device=?

So, how do you set the IP address? I can only use a specified IP address.

Just set it in WATTCP.CFG! Can automatic setup with DHCP/BOOTP succeed?
