[Help] program too big to fix in memory
When I run a somewhat larger program under DOS, this problem appears. How can I solve it?
I hope all the experts here can give me some advice1

Not enough conventional memory.
As for the stuff in config.sys and autoexec.bat, don't load anything you don't have to. Anything that must be loaded should be put into UMB as much as possible.

Boot DOS with the MSDOS 7.1 super boot disk, and conventional memory will be over 600KB. It should definitely be able to run that DOS program.

Many thanks to the two posters above. Maybe I changed too much, hehe, added too many things,
but there's one thing I don't quite understand: with HIMEM loaded, memory should be enough, right?

No, you should also add EMM386.exe to help, only then can you effectively free up conventional memory space.

Please post your autoexec.bat and config.sys, and also the output of mem /c.

Where's the image?
Hehe, forgot to upload it.
It says the largest program size executable is 590K,
but as soon as I run PQMAGIC (version 8.05), it won't work and gives that prompt!

Then don't load the Chinese character support system. That way you'll generally have over 600KB of conventional memory.
