Yesterday, the Dell OptiPlex GX620 computer ordered by the company arrived. When unpacking, it was found that there was no OEM WinXP pro disc. There was a plastic bag with a disc without a printed cover, on which were two rows of bold foreign words: "FreeDOS Operating System Install CD and Source Code". There was also a printed document in foreign words with the GPL agreement. I suddenly realized that the so-called low-cost business machine for installing DOS from Dell is just a FreeDOS disc included, but it wasn't actually installed. I'll find an old hard drive next week to install it and have a look. The version is beta8, with EMACS, VIM, SEAL. It's pitiful that other colleagues don't even know what FreeDOS is. M$ Windows is害人啊!

BTW: Haven't been here for a long time. The links of the previous collections are invalid . I was in a hurry and searched a lot to come back to the Union Forum again And I changed to the Discuz! forum that I like

It must be that after uninstalling, immediately install Windows.

You didn't read carefully. That GX620 doesn't have an operating system installed at all. And whether FreeDOS can be installed on a SATA hard drive is still unknown. I'll try it in the company another day. Usually, enterprises that use M$ Windows products to set up a local area network must use the winNT domain to manage, and the client machines must install win2k/XP Professional. Even if XP pro has been installed, it still needs to be deleted and reinstalled.

How about making it into an ISO file and uploading it to ftp://chinados:www.cn-dos.net@218.8.164.3

ftp://chinados:www.cn-dos.net@218.8.164.3 How to access it?

Open it with an FTP client software, like CuteFTP, FlashFTP, AbsoluteFTP, etc.
Or you can access it by directly entering the address in "My Computer".

Thanks for JonePeng's guidance, but it seems that an account is required, but I don't know how to obtain or register one
