That means there's a problem with the DOS window settings or with the system. You can check the configuration.

Boot with another WIN98 disk, then do sys c: and it should be OK.

Just restart and it'll be fine.
This often happens when we do assembly programs. It's probably because the memory used by DOS is the same block, so operations in other DOS windows affect the other DOS windows, and then one of them doesn't exit normally. |
