That means there's a problem with the DOS window settings or with the system. You can check the configuration.

The following is quoted from luxia on 2003-4-11 1:49:40:
Boot with another WIN98 disk, then do sys c: and it should be OK.
That's not the cause. Rather, there is a problem with the settings or program of the Win9x DOS window. Using an MS-DOS 7.10 (Win98) boot disk cannot directly solve this problem.

Just restart and it'll be fine.
This often happens when we do assembly programs.
It's probably because the memory used by DOS is the same block, so operations in other DOS windows affect the other DOS windows, and then one of them doesn't exit normally.
