If your BIOS is removable, you can just pull it out and insert it into another motherboard to enter DOS! Although it's cumbersome, it's not as destructive as discharging, and it's also relatively technical!

It's CMOS. There's no destructive thing about discharging. Just take out the battery for 10 minutes. It's simpler than making instant noodles.

The method of discharging seems to be simpler and more feasible.

It's more convenient and safe to take the battery out. I don't know how you compared it...

Discharging will clear the COMS settings, isn't that dangerous? Maybe my method isn't very good either.

Shut down! Remove the CMOS battery, short-circuit the two poles of the battery holder with a wire, and it will be cleared immediately (no need to wait for 10 minutes, be sure to remember that it is under the power-off state when shutting down)

Some motherboards have CMOS clear caps, just plug and unplug according to the requirements

PS: Many current BIOS chips are directly soldered on the motherboard and cannot be removed at all

Connect the jumper next to the battery with a wire for about 1 second! This is called a short circuit

It can't be that it only takes less than 10 minutes to discharge, right? Just 10 seconds is enough

There is a question here. If it's a brand computer, after such power discharge, will the brand computer's logo be lost and restored to the BIOS boot logo? Then, another question: The Award BIOS boot pattern is the Energy Star, and the AMI BIOS boot pattern is three red triangles stacked on the left, and a cyan earth on the right with a five-pointed star like the Award BIOS on it. Is that the case?

After discharging, will the brand computer's LOGO be lost and restored to the BIOS boot LOGO?

That LOGO is a full-screen LOGO and is solidified in the BIOS chip, so it will not be lost. Only when using a BIOS logo refresh tool can the LOGO be rewritten.

After removing the battery, the BIOS settings will be restored to default values. In fact, in the BIOS settings, you can set whether to allow or prohibit displaying the full-screen LOGO. Usually, it is the "Full Screen Logo" option.
