By default DOS boots from drive A or C. Other drives such as D can also be made into system disks, but booting DOS from D and so on requires BIOS support or the use of multi-boot partition techniques such as SFDISK.

There is nothing special about installing DOS on another drive. First do format d:/s, then copy the DOS external commands and applications over, and it would be best to set the PATH variable too.

I formatted drive D according to the moderator's method, but after using xsol to make a multi-boot setup, when booting to drive D it still goes into Win98. What's going on? Thanks!
