Everyone, does anyone know how to install the LQ1600K printer driver under DOS?
Do I need some foutline.exe and some kind of foutline.004 file,
When I run foutline.exe, the system asks me whether I have foutline.004.

Install it in what system? The LQ1600K does not need installation to be usable. Try type autoexec.bat >prn, it should print the contents of autoexec.bat from the printer.

The Chinese character support systems under DOS all come with an LQ1600K driver or one compatible with it. The LQ1600K is already a common standard under DOS, so there is no need to install a separate driver.

I directly used a WinME boot disk plus a Chinese-localized PDOS95, so there is no LQ1600K driver.

pdos95??? Never used it!

But before, under DOS, all machines of the LQ1600K type could be used, and no driver was needed at all!

Some word processing software under DOS supports it too!
