The information I got after using the DEFRAG command under DOS711 is as follows:Note: DEFRAG has been disabled to support Long File Names and FAT32 drivers. For more information, please see the technote or contact Support Center.
It roughly means "DEFRAG cannot support long file names and FAT32 drivers. For more information, please refer to... "
Then, I first wrote doslfn into the cache and then ran DEFRAG, but the same information as above still appeared.
Now I have two questions: (1) I have never used DEFRAG before. Now I want to use DEFRAG to defragment the disk. How can I run DEFRAG? (2) How is the speed of running DEFRAG under DOS? Is DEFRAG valuable?

Don't try to use the DOS-built-in DEFRAG on a FAT32 hard drive, as the reason is clearly stated.
(1) Windows provides another DEFRAG to replace the one under DOS. Use the program with the same name under Windows.
(2) DEFRAG has fully shifted to Windows. Also, please use the DEFRAG of Windows ME instead of that of Windows 98 SE, which will significantly increase the speed, but the effects of the two are slightly different.

Thank you for the two perfect answers. However, the disk format required by DOS711 is FAT32, and this DERAG cannot be used under the FAT32 format. Then, what is the use of this DOS's DEFRAG?

Could it be that someone forced you to use Defrag under DOS? If that's really the case, then create a fat16.
