I’d like to ask all the experts a question:
Two days ago the Windows system crashed, but some very important data was not backed up. I can use a floppy disk to boot into DOS and run the copy command, copy *.* but there’s a problem: many files can’t be copied. So is there something wrong with the hard disk, or are there some files that this command can’t copy? For example, system files. Please enlighten me, experts. |

Then try copying with XXCOPY plus the /H parameter.

This kind of problem is common when the FAT is corrupted, but there is no physical damage on the hard disk. In that case, COPY and XCOPY both may be unable to copy the files. A better method is to use recovery software within WINDOWS to copy them, like recoverXXX and the like. It’s also possible to parse out the file contents manually, but that’s a bit more troublesome. If it’s not too serious, you can back up the FAT table first and then use something like NDD to handle it, or simply format it and then use undelete software.

If the system cannot boot and there is important data on the system drive, you can boot with a boot disk and use ghost to clone the system drive. After that, reinstall the system and use ghost explorer to read the gho file, and you can recover the data, saving you the trouble of copying files under DOS!

Learn how to ask questions first.
Make your post title better. In the future, posts with titles like this may end up with only these three fates: 1。Nobody pays attention to it. (This is the best case.) 2。It gets moved to the off-topic posting section. 3。It gets deleted. |
