The simplest way is to boot with a floppy disk, and use the FORMAT C： /S command to format and transfer the system (if it has not been partitioned, you can use FDISK and other tools to partition it first). At this point the hard disk can already boot DOS directly. Then you can add some DOS commands for more convenient operation. Or running the DOS installer is also OK.

Want to be lazy? You can boot with some one-stop installation CDs such as GHOST, and it will help you. All you need to do is press Enter.

Does DOS still need to be installed? Generally speaking, once you install win98 or win2000, doesn't it already have DOS? Why install the damn thing?
