Help, partition table error
There's a problem with the partition table. Using kvfix ver9.2, F2 key,
it says hard disk partiton table - ok!
But F1 shows hard disk head=0255 cyls=9729 sector=63 0.00G
With diskgen it keeps insisting there's an error
What's going on?
I know the BIOS was just recently upgraded, supposedly to support hard disks over 240G. Could that be the cause

Really, there are all kinds of strange things.
Tried it on another machine with an 845d motherboard, and the partition table was completely normal. So I directly flashed the BIOS back to the old version.
Using qdi Synactix5epv2
Not sure whether this problem was caused by diskgen formatting, or whether it really was caused by this BIOS ROM that supports large hard disks. The partition table is normal, yet it kept reporting errors, sheesh

In the BIOS, are the hard disk parameters set to auto lba?

It's user lba
At first I suspected it was caused by diskgen formatting, because the primary DOS partition on drive C was made by using it to delete NTFS and then using its bundled software to format it as FAT32, and then Win2003 SP1 was installed (though its formatting function really is better not used)
Then when using grub for dos the partition table immediately got messed up. On the 845D motherboard, using diskgen partition auto-repair, the manual method was completely normal.
But on my motherboard, this partition shows as NTFS under Windows and as an empty FAT32 under DOS. Also, the grub on that partition was abnormal too, it could only boot to the grub>shell. With readntfs, I couldn't see a single NTFS partition
Even the auto-repair provided by diskgen had no way to save to disk. In the end I used uniflash to flash it back and everything returned to normal. It was said before that dm software could make old motherboards support large hard disks through special means. Maybe this BIOS also had some special reason. Whew, a false alarm.
