Run the MS-DOS 6.22 installer. If there are long filenames, a large hard disk, or FAT32, then just install MS-DOS 7.10. The download link for the MS-DOS 7.1 boot disk is:

It seems MS-DOS 6.22 needs a boot floppy to be created, right? Installation can only be done by copying it to the hard disk. Partitioning can only be done with PQ. What should be done if the hard disk partition table is damaged?

Please explain the direct installation method in detail.
Also, I haven't had a very high repair success rate with ndd, and sometimes it doesn't recognize some partitions (not partitioned by fdisk, for example ones partitioned by spfdisk). diskgen is a bit stronger.

No, NDD can recognize partitions made with SPFDISK. I'm using SPFDISK for partitioning now, and I haven't had any problems using NDD. DISKGEN is indeed very good, but in some cases the old DISKMAN is still better.

Are there any other good tools for repairing hard disk partition tables? Also, please explain in detail the method for installing DOS 6.22 without a floppy drive.
