How do I add a DOS boot option to the WinXP startup screen?
Experts:
I'm repairing a laptop with no CD-ROM drive and no floppy drive. When it was purchased, the crooked seller provided a GHOST image for restoring the system. But under XP, GHSOT won't run, and because there is no CD-ROM drive or floppy drive, there's no way to run DOS.
The method I thought of is to add a DOS boot option under XP's startup interface. (That is, the boot menu option like in a dual-boot setup.)
I think I can modify the boot.ini file in the root directory of drive C to add this option, but my skill level is limited, so I don't know exactly how to write it. Please advise!
