Moderator, how do I install DOS 7.1 on Windows XP? My machine doesn't have a floppy drive, so I want to use virtul Pc to install it. I mean installing pure DOS. Every time I start virtul Pc (where I install DOS 7.1 directly), it reminds me to reinstall it. I have a few practical questions for you.
First, can I use virtul Pc to install pure DOS 7.1 on Windows XP, so that Windows XP and DOS 7.1 coexist
Second, after installing virtul Pc, should I install DOS 7.1 directly in virtul Pc, or install Win9X or Windows XP in virtul Pc first and then install DOS 7.1.
Third, after I use virtul Pc to make an image file, does restarting the DOS system in virtul Pc mean it can enter the installation? But I feel that after that step it's still DOS 7.1 inside virtul Pc, not pure DOS 7.1 at all.
Waiting for experts to answer more questions
