Ask all you big shots: How to modify file attributes under DOS, and how to enter a Chinese-enabled DOS? Do you need to install it? Hope the big shots can give some pointers. Thanks a lot!!!!!

Modify file attributesATTRIB
] + Sets an attribute.
- Clears an attribute.
R Read-only file attribute.
A Archive file attribute.
S System file attribute.
H Hidden file attribute.

Specifies a file or files for attrib to process.
/S Processes matching files in the current folder
and all subfolders.
/D Processes folders as well. The second question you didn't make it clear. Under Win98, there is PDOS95, Win2000 directly supports it, and under pure DOS, use UCDOS, TW, etc.

Thanks a lot for the moderator's guidance,
I want to ask how to input Chinese in DOS under XP?

I know about using Chinese systems外挂 for DOS like UCDOS, etc.
I want to ask if there are other methods, that is, methods that don't need to start other systems.

WIn XP, it is also directly supported!!!!! Generally, use ctrl + Space, just like the way of inputting text in Word!

To input Chinese under pure DOS, you must install a Chinese system externally. As for the MS-DOS mode in XP, since it is itself in a Chinese environment under XP, you can directly use methods like Ctrl+Space or Ctrl+Shift to switch to inputting Chinese. (Only applicable to the Chinese version of XP, not applicable to English or other language versions.)

Wow, cool! But this English version of XP can display Chinese normally and comes with a Chinese input method by itself, which seems to have included the Chinese system already.

It's not a Chinese system, but there are Chinese character fonts!
