Based on the introduction on this forum, I made a CD boot disk and set it to run smartdrv.exe in autoexec.bat. But according to some materials, when using PartitionMagic on the hard disk, smartdrv.exe must not be running. How can I disable smartdrv.exe?

Then just don't run smartdrv.exe in autoexec.bat.

LBACACHE can use the STOP option to exit directly, but for SMARTDRV I’m afraid the only way is to set all drive buffers to 0 and disable buffering.

I use PC-CACHE. Not only does it use much less memory than SMARTDRV, it can also be turned off at any time.
