There are already quite a few DOS articles on the site. What else does everyone think should be added?

I wonder whether the webmaster has any materials with a detailed introduction to BIOS interrupts.
I have some here, and they also include DOS interrupts; they are fairly detailed, but there are too many and they are hard to organize. Http://www2.zzu.edu.cn/ie/newdos/int.rar If they were in Chinese, that would be great... (What a failure. After looking at that axcel216 Wengier mentioned today, I suddenly feel quite dissatisfied with my English, hehe) |

Set up a “DOS Newbie Introduction” section and publish articles on beginner-level applications, fulfilling the duty of the “DOS Union”. For example, publish articles on how to listen to music under DOS, how to watch movies, how to use some basic commands, etc., so that more newbies can really experience DOS. Don’t use abstract articles, otherwise newbies will quickly lose interest in DOS.

Creating a “DOS Introduction” section is a good idea; it can attract everyone’s interest. For example, basic commands and multimedia functions, etc., and it shouldn’t be monotonous and dull.

Are there any articles introducing the assembly code principles of the hard disk boot sector for the DOS operating system?
It’s boot sector, not master boot record(mbr) |

Yes, there are quite a few in this site’s “DOS Usage” column and this forum’s “DOS Usage Tips” section.

Moderator, have you ever thought about writing some articles related to DOS attacks?
Write more specific commands, and detailed usage of the commands. That can both make the articles longer and attract more netizens’ fascination! Could the moderator consider it? |

I personally feel scripts should be researched and studied. After all, there still aren’t many sites specifically for discussion and learning about scripts, but there are many people studying them. Usually people just go to MSDN to learn, and there isn’t a real place for discussion and learning. I suggest the webmaster consider development and research in the scripting area; after all, it can also be considered a kind of batch file under WIN. This is just my personal feeling. After all, scripts cover a fairly broad range, and their general applicability is also pretty good. I suggest the webmaster consider it!

For enthusiasts who have a little DOS foundation, I think the next key things to learn are: AUTOEXEC.BAT,CONFIG.SYS,IO.SYS,MSDOS.SYS,COMMAND.COM,DEBUG.
I think once you’ve learned these well, you should be close to being a DOS expert. |

Could an “Ask and Answer” section be added? Don’t put it together with materials that introduce knowledge.
Putting them together like this is inconvenient for everyone to read. |
