Maybe it's just the name of the disk! If that virus changes your disk volume label to garbled code, if you want to repartition, then you can only use low-level formatting, which is rarely used! I have only used it once.

Volume label is the name of a disk or partition. For a hard disk partition, it can play a role in marking and certain security. When using FDISK and FORMAT, you must enter the volume label name to delete a partition and format. If you change the volume label to lowercase or garbled characters, the disk cannot be formatted or the partition deleted. The modification of the volume label name is ineffective for preventing low-level formatting. On the other hand, if you use a dual hard disk, it often causes the problem of drive letter interlacing. If you set a volume label for your hard disk partition, when adding other hard disks, you won't be confused about which partition belongs to your own hard disk.
