If you are installing the WIN98 system, you can now create a folder with the MD WIN98 command on drive D or other non-system drives on the hard disk. Then find the directory where the WIN98 files are placed on your CD, and use COPY. D:\WIN98 to copy the files to the hard disk. Then you need to find the SMARTDRV file, which is generally placed in TOOLS\oldmsdos. Then directly enter the command: smartdrv, (this will speed up the installation speed). Then go to the D:\WIN98 directory, and enter the command: SETUP /IS /IE /IV /IM to start the installation. (Note: If there is no floppy drive on your computer, you need to turn off the floppy drive in the BIOS, otherwise a failure that cannot continue will occur during the installation) If you are installing WIN2000 or XP, it is recommended to directly use the CD to boot for installation.

Find the drive letter where you backed up the system. For example, in the case of Win98: if your backed up system is in drive D, then after entering drive D in DOS, type D:\win98setup\setup.exe and it's done : )

Oh, forgot. If you don't have a backup and want to install directly from DOS, then it's the method of the brother on the 7th floor. : )
