You need to load a USB mouse driver under DOS for it to work.

Yes! Just install DOS, and it will automatically load the DOS mouse driver.

My PS/2 port died for no apparent reason. If I connect the mouse's PS/2 plug to the serial port through an adapter, can it also be used directly?
