In DOS, I want to format C. After entering format c:/s/q, it still won't format; it only got through 21 items and then it couldn't continue. What should I do? Please give me some advice, experts! Could there be something wrong with the hard disk? Is there any other way to format C?

Your hard disk has bad sectors. Don't use quick format; using format C:\ should work.

Correction: it should be format c:
If there really are bad sectors, you should first use software to check and repair them
