Boot with MS-DOS 7.10, then install XP from an XP installation image on an NTFS-formatted hard drive under DOS. Also, I don't want to convert it to
FAT32, so this has been giving me a headache for quite a while. Since I didn't know how to open an IMG under DOS, I first extracted the IMG under XP. Right now when I run WINNT to install, it says out of memory. How can I increase memory under DOS to meet the requirements for installing XP? Or how can I directly access the IMG under NTFS and make the system treat it as a CD-ROM drive, so I can install directly? |
