There are many kinds of DOS, such as MS-DOS, UC-DOS, etc. Version 6.22 is considered the ultimate version, so why is there still MS-DOS 7.0? Which kind of DOS supports Chinese? Does it need to be Chinese-localized before it can support Chinese? Can Chinese-localized DOS versions or DOS versions that support Chinese help rescue the system? Which version of DOS is inside the second edition of Win98? Is it necessary or possible to install a newer DOS version? If another DOS version is installed, can there be a boot selection prompt like with a dual-boot setup such as 98 and XP? Can it also be like having only one system installed, without prompting which system to enter? Although I can skillfully use English DOS for partitioning, installing systems, and so on, I'm still an outsider when it comes to the DOS system itself. Please give me lots of guidance, experts. Thanks!

Ah, looks like you'll need to find more materials and read them slowly. You can't even distinguish between the basic operating system DOS and UCDOS, which is an add-on Chinese character processing function.

The highest version of the full installation edition of MS-DOS is 7.10. As for the so-called version 8.0, it is very unofficial.
