DOS is pure and honest, like a wilderness, like the young Bill Gates. You can program on it, control everything, and understand everything. It really gives a sense of being the master. The only shortcoming is memory management, (in the early days)
Windows is not like that! It's a golden birdcage. Like the current Bill Gates, ruling all resources, you can only work under it, like a slave. No matter how capable you are, you're just a high-level slave, at most a "virtual" master. Through the small "window" you can only see a part but not the whole picture!
