Originally I thought disk operating systems were not as simple as graphical operating systems. It's all because modern operating systems are getting more and more flashy (Microsoft, I'm talking about you!) with many functions we don't use and that consume computer resources. Any random system is often more than a dozen GB, and the startup memory is more than 2 GB. In contrast, disk operating systems are small and concise. If I could go back to the era when small memory was prevalent (256MB), then I would choose Windows XP plus MS-DOS. It's a pity that DOS can only be experienced in a virtual machine.
