Hehe, you can install a virtual machine and then install DOS on the virtual machine. This is a very good solution.

Does the hard disk need to be partitioned during installation?

After downloading, there is such a sentence in the readme file: "|==And if you want to extract them to the hard disk for installation, use software like UNDISK, DOSIMG, WinImage to extract all of them to a folder on the hard disk. Note: If there are two IMG image files, please extract them to the same path on the hard disk, not two different paths. Then enter this path under pure DOS and run SETUP to start the installation!===|

I don't understand yet. There is no DOS installed yet, and installing DOS from pure DOS?? I don't understand!!!

I don't understand this part either. My computer is XP SP1, how to enter pure DOS??

xxaakkjjtt: The article has said that there are several methods to install DOS. The one you quoted above is just one of the methods. If there is no DOS in the system yet, you can use any of the other several installation methods.

I use VFLOPPY1.5, and the speed is extremely fast. I test my super rescue disk with it, and no longer need a floppy drive.

How to write the boot sector of the DOS system to any drive under Windows, such as a mobile hard disk, etc.? Are there any programs available now? In this way, just copy the boot file to that drive, and then can we use that hard disk to boot a DOS system in the future?

Under Windows, it seems that you can execute "fixboot X: drive" through the Recovery Console.

You can just select FLOPPY in the boot options.
