To format the C drive, you should first copy the "format" external command in the boot disk. You cannot format directly in the C drive directory. Then set the boot from floppy disk in CMOS, insert the boot disk, restart the machine, and enter "format /s/q c:" at the A:\ prompt and press Enter. Here, /s formats it as a system disk, and /q is quick format. If the C drive is not formatted as a system disk, the hard disk will not be able to boot by itself and must rely on the boot disk!

You should first copy the external command "format" in the boot disk, and cannot directly format in the directory of drive C.
Then set to boot from the floppy disk in CMOS, insert the boot disk, and restart the machine. Enter "format/s/q c:" under a:\ and press Enter. Among them, /s is to format it as a system disk, and /q is to format quickly. If drive C is not formatted as a system disk, the hard disk will not be able to boot by itself and must rely on the boot disk! |

To enter DOS, you need to have the format command in your directory to perform formatting. If you don't know the parameters, use the command: format /? to check.
