Mostly I use DOS to install systems for classmates. Once, I encountered a quite old motherboard that didn't support booting from an optical drive (386), so I first entered DOS and then ran winnt.exe. But more often, I partition and format the machine and then install.

Oh! I made a wrong choice, both the first and second items are mine. And I still have four hosts of 386 and 486 now, which are used in the factory, all installed with pure DOS 6.22 system. The hosts are COMPAQ and HP.

C drive has DOS 7.1 + XP dual system. If you play Windows 7, there will be no DOS.
USB is divided into 2 partitions. USB-CD is mass-produced into a DOS 7.1 CD, and FDD contains the DOS 7.1 floppy version + other maintenance tools.
Use virtual machine when learning DOS practice.
The above are all my environments with DOS, which meet 1, 3. Choose 3. In actual use, basically 3 plays DOS in the virtual machine, and learning DOS is purely for personal pretentiousness. Ashamed~Embarrassed~

Put it in the USB flash drive as one of the systems in the multi-system USB drive, just in case (for example, some program can only run in 16-bit real mode, just like grub's bootlace... But... I installed DOS just to install grub, and I need to install grub to install DOS and be able to boot other systems... It seems like a cycle)

Actually, it doesn't matter. DOS is the ancestor and irreplaceable. Look at me. I used to not be interested in DOS. After coming into contact with a few batch processes, I remembered that there is such a thing as DOS and started to be interested in DOS commands. DOS won't die out. I've always heard that there are many fun games under DOS, but I haven't seen any others except for catching a glimpse of CCH 6 to 12 years ago. But I'm looking forward to it. This is also one of the reasons for using DOS.
