From the result of you running osql -L, it shows that osql can still run. Maybe the ODBC is not configured properly.

Let's try the one I've been using, which is for SQL2000. I don't know if it can connect to SQL2005.

Just copy osql.rll to the same directory. SQLCMD can only be used after installing SQL Server 2005.
