First heard of FreeDOS

The DOS function is so powerful that it won't die out.

My understanding is that the DOS system has indeed declined, but DOS commands can be applied in the XP CMD. They can be freely edited and some functions can be implemented to satisfy one's own curiosity. As long as future systems support CMD, DOS commands will not die out.

DOS is also evolving and can sometimes solve many problems that cannot be solved under Windows.

There are still some old fans of DOS. Especially those who used computers early. Like me, from floppy disks, 286 computers using DOS to the current Vista. Still miss the DOS operating system.
