MS-DOS and PC-DOS are both developed by Microsoft, right? It's just that PC-DOS is sold to IBM. Is that correct?

Before version 5.0, they were the same. Only Microsoft sold it as MS-DOS, and IBM sold it as PC-DOS.
After version 5.0, MS-DOS and PC-DOS went separate ways, developed independently by Microsoft and IBM respectively.

When typing DOS, it should be written in all uppercase as DOS or all lowercase as dos. DoS refers to a kind of attack called Denial of Service.

Of course it's FreeDOS. When you need to ship dozens or hundreds of devices and require a content operating system, will choosing MS-DOS get you into trouble? Other supported FreeDOS should all be available, right!!
