DM Universal Edition User Manual (Essential Boutique)
After typing DM, you will enter the DM interface. If your hard disk is not from IBM, there may be a red box. Just press ENTER directly without paying attention. Then the main menu will appear:
　　Easy Disk Installation
　　Advanced Disk Installation
　　Upgrade Disk Manager
　　Maintenance Options

　　Exit Disk Manager
If your hard disk is not large or you just want to divide one partition, choose Easy Disk Installation. 　　Advanced Disk Installation is the option for advanced setting partitions. After selection, the system first lets you choose the physical hard disk for partitioning, whether to format as FAT32, and then the sub-menu has 3 options. The first 2 are allocated by the system. Then type in the capacity of each partition one by one, and then choose YES for all that follow (during this process, the system will prompt you to insert the system boot disk), and finally restart.
　　The function of Upgrade Disk Manager is to modify and upgrade the hard disk driver ONTRACKD.SYS in DM according to the physical parameters of your hard disk, and when your hard disk (only for IBM) has a capacity greater than 8.4G and the motherboard BIOS cannot recognize it, load the driver into the hard disk so that the system can recognize the hard disk above 8.4G.
　　There are many options in Maintenance Options.
　　The first can make a system emergency boot disk.
　　The second loads and unloads the dynamic recognition program (that is, the program that makes the system recognize hard disks above 8.4G).
　　The third is to back up and restore the hard disk master boot record.
　　The fourth and fifth are to load and unload some relevant drivers.
