The command line and DOS are sometimes more powerful than Windows. For example, when deleting a folder with thousands of files and several gigabytes in size under Windows, it is very slow. The dialog box stays on calculating the folder size and indexing for as long as one minute, while with the command line "del /f /s /q the folder to be deleted", it has already been deleted!
